Frequently Asked Questions:
What markets do you trade? ==> Futures, stocks, and options (some crypto)
How long have you been trading? ==> First learned about the markets and trading in '07-'08. Full-time since 2016.
What type of trader are you? ==> Primarily a day/swing trader. Take long stock position trades in longer term accounts.
What brokers/platforms do you use? ==> I use TradeStation for charting and small account futures trading. I use ThinkorSwim for stocks, options, and other accounts.
How do I make my trading decisions? ==> Primarily rely on technical analysis with the emphasis on price action, candlesticks, and chart patterns (I have other things that we pay attention, but too much to list here - ask me if you're interested).
What was my biggest/best winning streak? ==> ~$50,000 in a month
What was my biggest losing trade/streak? ==> Six-figure loss was biggest, happened in a day.
Why did you start Simply Derivative Trading? ==> I started the company when I went full-time because I wanted to build a community of like-minded traders and help as many people along the way as I could. Trading can be a lonely job, I love talking about the markets, and I wanted an outlet for not only my trading but also everything else that goes on in my head- needed to get it out!
Do you mentor or teach new traders? ==> Please contact me. Outside of my blogs (here), live streams (Twitch & YouTube), and futures trading course on Udemy, I normally don't mentor one on one.
