Simply Derivative Trading **UPDATE** November 22, 2021

 

 Hi guys!

I wanted to take some time here to give you all an update on Simply Derivative Trading.  If you're here reading this, you'll probably notice that we made some major changes to the website and also changes to our business model for the company going forward. I'll just keep this as sweet and short as possible, so here are the changes for SDT going into 2022:

  • Moved SD website over to blogger - will solely be analyzing potential trades and charts, give analysis on the broad markets, and have trading videos as well.
  • Blogger allows us to create more of a community of like-minded traders and not come off as an e-commerce, "shilling courses company" found so frequently in the retail trading universe AND much less overhead $$.
  • Additionally, we will be focused primarily on our streaming sessions going into 2022 where we'll be day-trading futures, options, stocks and crypto.
  • Our Discord server is going to be another major focal point for us going into 2022 as another way to truly build a great community. 
  • No longer will be hosting paid trading rooms or mentoring classes -  if you want to learn how to trade, either watch the live streams/reruns or contact me directly. (You can still support the stream/company with our Patreon sub ($15/mo) to get access to founders/members only voice channels in Discord, free access to our only Udemy trading course, and copies of our eBooks.) 

 So, those are the updates going forward for Simply Derivative Trading into 2022!  It's been a long journey so far (4 years) and we've definitely had our ups and downs, pivots and changes, BUT, I believe we're on the right path to building a successful community of traders!

CLEAR SKIES ABOVE...?  FOMC Day & Charts to Watch Key Takeaways:   The Federal Reserve raised interest rates again today +25bps. Powell signaled that they will likely raise rates again at next month's meeting.  Markets sold off initially, but rallied into the close --> bullish Earnings not that bad + stocks reacting positively to bad news What's all this mean?  At least short term, markets look like they are poised to continue to move higher. LOWS BREAK, VIX SPIKING - LOOK OUT BELOW? ~ February 23, 2022

 Hey all, I wanted to get out a few charts looking at higher time frames to get an idea of what's going on and what may happen next. First of all, the lows we've talked about the last few weeks that have held up - well, they no longer are holding.  Both $ES and $NQ lows have broke - see below $MES/$ES Daily Chart - lows breaking   $MNQ/$NQ Daily Chart - lows breaking Taking a look at the weekly charts, you can clearly see we have broke the recent lows, both tagging the levels (indicated by the wicks on candles) and now the last couple sessions closing below the recent lows. We've clearly set highs, broke down through the last line in the sand for buyers (demand zone ~$4560s), attempted to rally back to the highs/levels where prices broke down, but couldn't hold.  This to me looks like we are in for more downside to come - at least in the short term. We'll see what happens now till the Fed's March meeting in 3 weeks when rates are supposed to rise(they alread
